So I'm just Googling around and I come across Medical Marijuana Pros & Cons website which has a lil chart that has which states have pending legislation for legalization, which states passed legislation & which states failed legislation.
There is a TON of information on the Pros & Cons site the part that caught my attention is the pending states which are Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania & North Carolina. YES! my home state NC but (...& theres always a but) its only for medical use.
Ill post the summary thats on the Pros & Cons site to break it down a lil bit. They have a bigger PDF file that holds more technicalities.

If passed, the bill would put on the Nov. 4, 2014 statewide election
ballot a "constitutional amendment to allow, through a regulated system,
the medical use of cannabis to alleviate and treat debilitating medical
conditions and their symptoms and to further allow, through a regulated
system, the acquisition, possession, cultivation, manufacture,
delivery, transfer, or transportation of cannabis exclusively for such
medical use."

to include the registration and regulation of certain physicians...
encouraging the Commission to license medical marijuana growers that
grow certain strains of marijuana; authorizing an entity licensed to
grow marijuana under certain provisions of law to provide marijuana to
certain patients or certain caregivers..."
